Greetings!

Today’s project is a customized bobbin for DMC 310- the blackest of black flosses.

I started with my ride-or-die illustrator app, Procreate. Using a basic bobbin outline, I then added spiderweb details with the Syrup brush.

Mandatory black and purple

Once I created the design, I added 310 using a spooky font. I took the final draft to Adobe Illustrator, and converted to an SVG file.

Watching the magic unfold

There’s something so exciting about watching designs come to life.

Once printed, it was time to weed.

Weeding. Sometimes fun, sometimes a nightmare.

Once weeded, I added the 310 numbers with some Elmer’s adhesive roller.

She’s a beaut, Clark.
Stripes and stars because, why not.

Spooled on the 310. Stylish. Dignified. Refined.

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Hello there! I could have sworn I’ve visited this site before but after looking at many of the posts I realized it’s new to me. Anyways, I’m definitely pleased I stumbled upon it and I’ll be book-marking it and checking back frequently!
